Since its establishment, IMAVIS actively collaborates with the Vision Mathematics research group of Universita di Bologna. The group operates within the Centre of Excellence ARCES - Ercole de Castro.

Since 2005 IMAVIS started up a scientific collaboration and a technological transfer policy with the SLIPGURU research group of the Department of Computing and Information Science (DISI), Universita' di Genova.

authentication methods.
While participating to the EU funded project ADAM, IMAVIS started a collaboration with Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo (IOR). The focus of this collaboration is the development of image analysis and pattern recognition methods with application to assisted diagnosis.
