The Face Detection algorithm is able to identify one or more faces in a video frame and instantly extract them from the context

Face Detection is used in two systems:

• IMAFace
it detects, identifies and stores faces of people walking in front of the camera, ignoring all other movements.
• IMAFaceDet
it identifies the face of people in transit, stores it, records the related events and is able to report to the operator only passages containing a face without alerting him at every movement.
